Don't let the ordinary name fool you. Ralph is one of the most extraordinary, creative, food and still life photographer's in the nation. Though you may not know Ralph's warm, friendly face, you'd certainly recognize his work.
A life-long Houstonian, he studied art at the University of Houston and began his career as a graphic designer and illustrator. In 1980, his love of photography became a profession.
Today, after what he calls "pure luck and a lot of hard work", things have come together. A constant student of photography, he is always studying light, looking for new and fresh ideas. His vision constantly changes while retaining a warm and comfortable sameness.
Away from the studio, he enjoys fly fishing, cooking and gardening. On a perfect day, you will find Ralph with his friends "kicking back with a great bottle of wine and listening to the tunes of Dylan, The Offspring and everything in between".
At the house, he has "a wonderful wife (romance novelist), two beautiful daughters and one crazy cat".
